Recognized on the court during halftime of the Houston Rockets—San Antonio Spurs game, she was welcomed with a customized Spurs jersey and a show of appreciation from the crowd. Described as an outstanding educator whose compassionate teaching plays a welcoming part at her district, Ms. Grimes is dedicated to preparing her students for life after school, and with that an eagerness for learning continuously.
